The "Little Manon"

Opera for children based on Motifs by G. Puccini

Festspielhaus Baden-Baden

Festspielhaus Baden-Baden

Great opera is not suitable for little people? What rubbish! With great artists – in this case members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra – and good ideas, a children’s project can be created out of any opera. Prepare to be surprised! “Little Manon” portrays Puccini’s opera in a new light – different and totally appropriate for children. Audience members both big and small are not expected to simply sit still and listen – they are encouraged to sing, clap and join in! In this way everyone will be awake, alert and fully involved in a fantastic story. There will be lots of material for reflection, compassion and laughter but above all, it is a fascinating introduction into the big, wide world of opera.
