Welcome to the great music festival in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden! Here we will present the many facets of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra where renowned ensembles – comprising members of the orchestra – will take to the stage with well-known soloists from the orchestra. An added bonus will be the appearance of guest pianist Krystian Zimerman. The performances will range from deep and profound to lively and exhilarating. At the conclusion, when 12 cellists join with winds and brass to invite to music and dancing, clapping along is most definitely allowed! The hosted, open-ended evening will consist of two intervals, a break with the standard two-part concert form. The Berlin crew certainly aren’t short of ideas – and here at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden we are happy to offer them our stage to fulfil them!
